Blue sky makes the morning in the frozen woods feel warmer. I rush a bit through my walk, not for the cold, but an early meeting with a client. It feels refreshing and energetic to run in such cold. My working day starts by listening to someone else’s dream – and being inspired by her telling it to me, because it’s a dream of awakening and being aware of being rooted to earth, in the here and now. And the day tumbles on, busy and hopeful, busy and confusing, busy and troubled, busy and helpful. Working from home, with happy interruptions and a hot fire to sit next to for warmth near the lights of the Christmas tree, waiting for ornaments. A board meeting after dinner, for The Guild, and hearing the success of our fund raising drive is a blessing. Then, at bedtime, now, my eyes a bit bleary from proofing a research paper for a friend of my husband’s. Feeling helpful, encouraging someone who deserves encouragement. A blessed way to end my day.
