#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
this morning it rained it poured I soaked it up and walked everywhere on the grass and earth were mushrooms so what I learned (on Wikipedia) about such a tiny spiny globe shining at me by the railroad tracks is this:
popularly
known as the common
puffball, warted puffball
gem-studded devil's snuff-box
jewels, easily rubbed
off leave a netlike
patterned surface When
mature it browns, a hole
the top, it opens to release
spores in a burst
when the body is
compressed
by touch or falling
raindrops
