#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Well, there was certainly no walk, or swim this morning. It was awake most of night, and then out the door by 6:00 to Newton Wellesley for my procedure. Frank so kindly taking the morning to get me there and bring me home. They were great, and I was home by 10:00, I think, but very very groggy from the anaesthesia. My plan was, of course, that I would recover immediately and be up and about to take care of my grandson, and later, make quesadillas for a friend’s retirement party I’d been looking forward to. But I was out most of day, feeling dizzy, “hungover,” and unable to do much but sleep. At some point, I found this wonderful note beside me on my bed. I hazily remember a small voice in my room deivering it. Somehow, by 5 p.m. I roused myself to try and get up and feel better. Frank bought the quesadillas. It was touch and go, out the door, me not being sure if I could actually get there. I was so fuzzy and dizzy I had to close my eyes in the car not to get car sick. But a half hour into the party I started to finally feel better and have a good time. It was a wonderful party! We were among the last to leave! So good to be out laughing, talking, being with old friends and meeting new ones. I came home so cheerful with Frank in the car. Tired, yes. But grateful as heck to be feeling better and to have the procedure and all good results behind me. I missed the day with the boy, but I’m grateful to all who pitched in to help watch him. And Frank is so happy to have me back to normal.
