#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
“still point of the turning world” Easter Eve
“I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing. . .” T.S. Eliot
Such a good night’s sleep with Frank home! Reminding me of when we had babies, small children and he traveled and when he came home what a feeling of surprise that he brought two hands and a mind and heart to share all the challenges. We had fun together with Chippie out by the river. Chippie met Frank’s tractor. He played while we worked clearing brush. We tired him and ourselves out. Then I had a lovely time going to Jamaica Plan to hear my friend Gale Batchelder and two other poets read, sponsored by the New England Poetry Club. I saw quite a few poets I knew and read in the open mic, a manuscript poem. Nice to read from what is finally a completed manuscript. On the way home from the city I shopped for Wave’s Easter basket and got one for Chippie too. Wave home tonight and came right into my room. I was already in bed. But how could I say no to fighting dinosaurs? I didn’t. Set the timer for ten minutes, otherwise, he’ll go all night. I have set his basket and Chippie’s next to it on the living room hearth for him to find in the morning.
