Medfield State Hospital property, October Light

Someone, years ago, must have planted this Rudbeckia lacinata, Autumn Sun, when this meadow was cultivated and belonged to Medfield State Hospital. The buildings, the workers, the patients, the farm, are gone. This lovely being grows here, now, a member of the meadow, it wants only sun, earth, air, rain, this long lasting bloom.
