Oh, a walk in the morning after rain - wet glittered greens and fallen leaves, all this brightens my mood and brings me energy, enthusiasm, happiness, optimism. Welcome, December. I woke up, pleasantly tired, satisfied despite a short night's sleep, the hangover of a cozy, creative evening spent launching a new project: my monthly monologue play lab online. In the quiet intimacy of my small office I met for two hours with this group of creative women discussing the visions and goals of their writing and projects and helping new work for the stage take shape. At 10:00 p.m. I closed the call, walked the short distance to my stairs, and went to bed, enthusiastic, nourished and gratified and excited to make this journey with talented women. This morning, everything in the landscape - the clouds, the reflection of Death Bridge on the Charles, the red veined damp leaves and, especially the fern in gold sunlight - all this beauty glows with the spirit of yes.
