Awake from the alarm at 5;30 for a busy day. I have woken early to make sure the dogs got their walk before I left for the day. Frank had a doctor appointment in Boston to get to before we attended a Rhode Island State Police graduation to see our friend Mark graduate. We are gone all day. I saw by the tracks the yellow goatsbeard that blooms there every year. I love the goatsbeard most when it’s going to seed. I am so tired tonight I literally am falling asleep as I write these words. I watered the meadow plants and the garden when I got home in the evening. The sun was still shining hot at 7:00 p.m. The coneflower has not been touched by whoever is eating the echinacea.
