The quest is to hold the movement of the river all throughout the day; not just at the moments of sun rising and glistening in blue-hearted cold-walking morning. The quest is to listen to a loved one venting and not fix or correct or contradict. The quest is to be willing to be wrong and the quest is to be willing to tell the truth gently, gently, in a receptive moment. The quest is to not take other people's doings or failings personally. The quest is to be cheerful instead of self-justified. The quest is patience after a loved one vents, the generosity to carry a breakfast tray, a hot cup of tea, a slice of fresh pumpkin bread, a soft bright clementine to roll between the palms and peel.
