#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Many times the mountains
Have turned from green to yellow.
So much for the capricious earth!
Dust in your eyes,
The triple world is narrow;
Nothing on the mind,
Your chair is wide enough.

Everyone in the garden is getting along. So, it’s a great place to spend time with a hose, wetting all the worthies. What is unworthy in a garden? In a garden with a gate? I love turning the little wooden latch. The puling open of the gate across the grass and soil. A world unto itself. Today I thought about a scarecrow. How I will make one later this summer. Every garden needs a scarecrow. Tonight there was such a warm and inviting feeling of camaraderie in our poetry workshop. A sense of friendship, in particular. We are always friendly, and some of us are friends outside the workshop. But we are like a garden with a gate and we are all getting along and there is water and a very good and necessary drink for all.
