#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
– Elliott Erwitt
A good night’s sleep; I barely heard Frank come in after midnight. Up early, with energy, what a relief, and out the door for a long ramble in the wet fresh morning of early autumn and the leaves changing and the ferns drying. Then, indoors for swim. Feeling revived, my usual self. I was excited to lead my first play lab for my current monologue course. It’s so fun to see the writers awaken to the nature of theatrical monologue and to hear the stories each has to tell. It was quite moving; from tears to laughter. It’s going to be a really exciting course, and it’s going to culminate with a showcase on Oct. 28. I was really energized after. Met Frank in Boston to have some dinner and go with him to see the evening tennis at the Laver Cup tournament where he has been watching the tennis all weekend. You had to prove vaccination to get in, and wear a mask. It was so fun to be out doing something with my husband! Something we enjoyed! A date! And the chance to be away from our busy household, away from distractions, and have deep conversation. I’m so grateful for this lovely, creative, energetic day. A mushroom cap sun seemed to light the day in such a full bodied way;.
