The woods are pleasantly wet and also messy. It would be easy to trip but I don’t. This web is spun at the morning brook. Lots of webs in trees and grass. I’m grateful to be taking a long walk. By the river, far out on the trail, I almost step on this friend, a painted turtle who has wandered onto the trail from the river’s edge. We briefly meet. I have woken early and prepared for a busy day of three groups and a coaching session. It’s a busy and rich and rewarding day spent with writers and there’s no better way to spend. day than with woods and walking and writers and freshly spun webs. Freshly spun writing. My Israeli group was as usual deep and poignant, intimate and full of joy and sorrow.
