#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Up at 4:00 a.m. and out the door for a weekend away with Frank. We had the chance to return to a favorite place we haven’t visited since we returned early from a trip there five years ago when Covid hit. It’s always fun for us to return to Florida where we spent the first seven years of our marriage. And to my beloved shorebirds on this lovely Gulf of Mexico shoreline which I happily walked this afternoon. Once on the plane I fell asleep for the entire flight. Usually I get so much work done on a flight. Not this time. I do hope to get to some poems tomorrow though. I did have two publications today in two different journals. My image, Graffiti Reflection on the cover of the Normal School, and three of my Longboat Key shorebird images, coincidentally, are published in The Fourth River Fall Issue, “For the Birds.” So grateful for this time away with Frank in this favorite place.
