Long Lake dock

Here is the good news about today. The sky was clear and the air was cool and the eagle soared and the current was friendly. A hike with friends to Hawk Mountain and a splendid view of Pleasant mountain. Some hawks. The view of the lake from up high. The stressless day. The boat ride. The skiers. The nap. The little bit of work I did, follow up from last week to my workshop. And tonight, opening a poem. Starting a revision. Some progress. Good enough to take to workshop. August, mid-August has rolled in and the coolness smacks of seasonal change. Everything about the water says PEACE.
