I love when the ferns go gold in morning light. I walked to Farm Pond, making lots of phone calls, enjoying the bright sunshine. I wanted to swim in the sunshine. It’s fall but summer still. And it was worth it. Water perfect. Just right. And the trees starting to turn. I had a great swim. A busy day, distracting and happy. And yes, even so, despite the taxes. Which went into the mail in the late afternoon! Wave home, needing time with his mom. Pickle tonight with our friends, then dinner, catching up. I am glad I’m not setting the alarm tomorrow. Maybe Wave will wake me. Happy for a day off.
