What a splendid day of January. Warmer. A bit raw. But not biting. I had such a good nice sleep. Walked at the track. Had a number of very good phone calls with friends about a project. A birthday lunch with my sister! We had a lovely chat in the restaurant. This late afternoon, Frank arranged for us to play pickle with our son, daughter, and her fiance, he shopped for dinner and we played pickle, LOTS of laughter. I love to play with family and close friends because there is such a great chance for real playfulness and laughter. We had all three adult children and Will for a sit down delicious dinner by the fire and long conversation. Everyone lingered. I’m so grateful tonight. We talked about their grandmother, Frank’s mother, and how we still have to have a ceremony with her ashes. The time will be right when it’s right. We talk of it often, and it requires a trip to Florida and I know it will happen in the right way at the right time. While we were talking about her, two rooms away in the back kitchen some serving dishes crashed off a low shelf onto the floor. We all laughed. Knew she was here. Nothing broken.
