#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Moon, Boat, Wings

Frank is gone early and I have woken to prep for my groups. Three today. Prepping for two. And set up the room. I love hosting in person. I have to solve an electrical problem, though. I am not handy and rely on Frank for almost everything mechanical. But he is gone. I spend a good half hour searching for the right extension and power cords to figure out how to get the computer display in the group room functional and I succeed! We have a very deep and wonderful group and then I have a quick break before the Israeli support group, and another quick break before grandmother writing. Wave is gone until the evening. The house is quiet. Grandmother writing goes so well as usual, a full and rich day, and then after a very casual dinner of a spinach omelette I go out into the dark for a x country ski. No Charlie. Oh, how Charlie would have loved this evening under the trees on the snow. I go up the driveway before going into the woods. I want to see that the fence is down, the awful fence is down, it truly is. The snow is nice and cold and fast. It’s nicely quiet. The river is black and at peace. I come in and do some follow up and then I settle into making a collage and I am like the river, at peace. Wave comes home and the peace is happily broken as we do some physical play before bed. He charms me and then he is gone for his rest, and leaves me to mine. I love making a collage. Going from one element, a first choice, in this case a photo from my ski tonight starts it off. And it was a good start. And collage is all layering and choices. Layering and choices. There is no visible trace of the first element that inspired the collage.
