Autumn

Wave home and wanting breakfast. Cheerful then, not so much now, I can hear him walking home from an afternoon and evening at his friend’s house. The pain of saying goodbye to a fun play date! Ouch! But how sweet to be walked home under a full moon in the autumn air by your mom. It’s bedtime, too, another reason for feeling torn. Today, two walks, in the bright cloudless sunshine. One by myself for five miles and then one with my two friends, and both were nice. Then off the see You Can See Everything with Perri and Franci and Will and Tonya, and it took the whole afternoon! And it was worth it. Quite captivating. And so much to talk about on the way home. As we were leaving the theater a young man came up and asked, Are you Kelly DuMar? Turns out he was a young man whose parents still live in town and he was in my first Playback Theatre troupe that i had with Franci and her pals and he acted in one of my plays as well. So sweet! I met his fiance. So it was quite a fun afternoon and whole day. And the foliage is for the most part past its peak colors, but there are a few standouts left.
