#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Special Projects Collage
Fairly summery out there. A long walk along the river and more. Leaves and sticks. Leaves and sticks. I am in the middle of a yard clean up in advance of next weekend parties. I am hosting a lunch for my 50th high school reunion (!) and Wave’s birthday party the next day. So, lots of party prep today including a call to Hawaii for planning help. Tried to order his cake but the bakery we love is backed up with orders. I hope to hear good news from them tomorrow. Eeek! A quiet, nice dinner with Frank and I worked on this collage. I think I have a poem ready for Monday workshop which resumes tomorrow. House quiet without Wave who comes back tomorrow. The birthday excitement will blow in. The summer behind us, I reflected, intuitively, on this collage, some images of forget-me-nots and geese over Farm Pond, a lone crow on a wooden beach chair at Katama Beach the day before the wedding, the moon, a Special Projects sign from the Trustees Farm in Katama, a birth bath, a swimmer, a bride.
