#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Awake early with Frank. Sun coming up. I am eager to go for a ski. The snow is a good consistency. It’s not very cold. I take my own trail around the property, under trees, into Trustees. Some walkers have tromped the trail but no one has skied but me. I cut some more track and enjoy my time outside. I think, maybe I’ll get out again in the afternoon or evening, but that didn’t happen. Writing clients today, and a very good solid couple of hours on the manuscript. Ordering and tweaking. Generally feeling good about where I’m getting to. The overall sections are making sense to me, and I am only moving some individual poems within sections. It’s making sense to me. Tonight I led the Journal of Expressive Writing Open mic with author Diana Eden and she was terrific, reading from her memoir, “Getting Old and Other Indignities: A Memoir of Aging with Adventure and Style.” i LOVE her energy, her spirit, her willingness to take on aging with honesty, vulnerability and humor. Eighty five and publishing a second memoir. A very rewarding evening. I’m grateful to have this role.
