#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Lucky to have sun beaming in late March morning and my eyes go right out across the field and the river is swollen and sparkling with snow melt. Frank has so kindly done early time with Chippie and it’s 7:30 and I’m rested well. My daughter is also up early and cheerful. We have coffee and chat and take Chippie out into the morning. Today I have been raking and clearing brush. Chippie helps a bit. The air is fresh and cold on my face and gives me energy. He’s pretty much mine for the day as my daughter and Frank are gone for the day. He gets lots of walks and work sessions with me in between me working on final touches to my manuscript in the quiet house. Page numbers! Yeeks. Figuring out page numbers in ms. word takes me too much time, but it’s done. And then I have this late poem, a last poem, an early manuscript poem to revise for Monday workshop. Before I start I have those feelings pre-revision: this will be too hard. I won’t be able to figure it out. But as soon as I move the first word around I’m in and it’s working itself out. It’s better. Oh! The best part of the day I almost forgot! Franci face-timed me from her dress fitting in New York! A perfect fit, and the dress is so gorgeous and so HER. And there’s a new element Franci is adding that I hadn’t seen. It’s bold and surprising and just right for her. So exciting. I know she’s happy and confident and knows just what she wants. We will go together one more time in early May to bring the dress home.
