#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Chippie at 4:30 a.m. No Frank. Oh well. The morning is fresh air. The morning is quiet. The morning is peace and play. When it’s light we go out for a walk. Then my daughter is up and must leave early and Wave and I play Transformers in between my clutter clearing and bed making and dishes. One more night before Frank’s back. Chippie and I have lots of time outside today. He helps me work on the raking. Oh, and I almost forgot. Wave and Chippie and I went on a morning walk. I had Chippie on a leash and Wave ran ahead and Chippie wanted to run too. We actually took Chippie up the steepest hill and Wave got to the top first and Chip next and then me. After that Wave wanted to go all the way to King Philip’s Overlook, but I suggested not. Then he agreed. Real hot chocolate at home would be better than the fake hot chocolate we drink at King Philip’s. I realized on our way back that Wave had eaten no breakfast. A meltdown was imminent. It wasn’t the worst one. At one point I had Chippie on the least, the rake in my hand, and a hungry and barefoot boy on my back (he’d removed his sandals and let Chip carry one in his mouth). Home soon enough with an apology from Wave for some harsh words he’d had toward me. Hot chocolate, real, with whipped cream, poured into his cup. No mallard sighting today, no beaver. By the river Chip still likes to hunt in the marshy grass for dead fish. Ugh. I worked on a poem revision. I sent poems and images out. I am grateful for good energy.
