Every day has at least one moment that is worth remembering and appreciating at the end of the day. Wave, asking to cuddle with Chippie when he woke up this morning. It was me and Wave, Perri and Frank gone. I know it’s hard for Wave, Chippie in the nippy stage. But we sit on the floor with him so I can supervise, and Wave is able to get Chip to kiss him, which is a lick on his open palm. And they do get to have calm affection. And Wave gently trains him. Drop it. Drop it. Drop it. Drop it. . . gently, enough times as it takes to get Chippie to drop the shoe he picked up in his mouth on the way to the door. So, yes, all the moments of chaos and some noise and resistance later in the day. But this one I revisit with gratitude.
