The river before dusk

Set an alarm so I won’t be rushed on the morning I am hosting Charles River Writers. And Chippie follows me to the river, a long stroll there, I am giving him room to roam and sniff. It’s warmer and cloudy and pleasant. The day heats and heats up in a pleasant day, the rain over the long weekend was so wet. Led two groups today, and then took a break to get some other things done. We are one month out from the wedding! Tonight my nephew and his fiance came and played pickle with me and Frank. We played three out of five games and they won. It was a fun time in the heat. Sweet to have them come. I walked when we were done with Val to the river with Chippie. The goslings and geese were out for an evening swim. The beaver too. Some big puffy clouds. Chippie was fine, really behaving, and then he wasn’t. Agh! Chippppppie! I already love him so much. He has a place here in our family. But I don’t want to get into my mother-of-the-bride sleeveless dress with his teeth marks on my bare arms! The trees were swimming in the river tonight.
