#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Summer is the happy time to go to Farm Pond twice. I had a light day ahead and headed out early, a walk to Farm Pond, and great swim around the island. Not many of us in the water yet. Water is warm and fresh as it is in July. Then a walk home. Wave is home and it’s nice to have him around. Met with my Ukrainian group which meets once a month and we had a great session. Then I worked on a poem that isn’t coming that easily and I moved it into a better state, I think. It’s hot, quite hot, but I enjoyed weeding the side garden, getting ready to put in the plants I picked up on Sunday. Franci says this side garden is her favorite. I made Wave tacos for dinner and he really wanted to go to Farm Pond so he and I went and I told him how it reminded me, going after dinner in summer, of my dad coming home from Cambridge and announcing he would take us all to Farm Pond for an evening swim. Then he’d swim with us, we’d climb on his back and be home just as it was getting dark. Into clean, dry pajamas, falling asleep with the windows open to summer.
