#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Oh, I had the most amazing dream! I woke and wrote it down and then wrote it as a poem. A draft of a poem. Let’s see how it does over the next few days as the pleasure and excitement of it passes a bit and I look again to see if it works. It didn’t rain. The air was fresh. I walked after the poem to the pond, swam around the island and came back to the boat ramp where the a few of the sailing camp kids were hanging out. A boy waved at me. One of Wave’s beach friends! “Oh, you’re Wave’s friend,” I said. Yes. Sweet. Wave is meeting beach friends who’ll be in school with him. I prepped for a workshop I’m leading tomorrow, prepped a batch of ice cream, too. Did some admin. We had friends for pickle and dinner. There was the most lovely breeze blowing across the field tonight, calm and cooling and almost autumnal and quite peaceful is how it all felt. Because that’s July. I overheard Wave’s sweet goodbyes to Uncle Landon who moves Friday. Agh!
