Gloria Steinem and Robin Morgan were colleagues and friends. Their deaths have come within a couple of days of each other. Big influences of my feminist awakenings in the late 1970s. And tonight I learned that my aunt is not doing well. Hospice is administering morphine to help with agitation. I will go and see her tomorrow with my sister. I had a day in my writing conference which was excellent and worked quite a bit on a new poem. Tomorrow I will miss the workshops to see my aunt. Frank is home from the US Open and I’m so glad to have him back with the television on and the tennis at home. I hope my aunt rests comfortably tonight.
