Today is a day to deeply connect - to my own inner voice, to the wintry spirits of trees and brooks and birds, and to other women's spirits. As usual, this morning begins with the nourishment of my quiet walk in woods. Then, it's time to be nourished indoors - with a view to nature - in the women's writing workshop I lead. I climb the stairs to our host's workshop space. Here are the empty chairs we'll fill; here is the quiet we'll disrupt with our voices in earnest; here is the space we'll warm with our willingness to write what's in our hearts and minds, to listen, to respond to each other; here is the view, the waters of inspiration.
