#NewThisDay Writing Writing From My Photo Stream
Autumn on the Charles
No heat, no air conditioning needed for weeks in this mild weather. And sunshine in the yard. I am so used to needing to put hours of Saturday and Sunday into generating new poems for workshop. But in this phase, it’s revision, revision, revision, and it’s feeling like it’s going well. I have a long walk in the autumn colorful woods along the river. No brush work today. It looks great, though. Every day Frank enjoys blowing the leaves off the tennis court. Sits on a bench and makes his phone calls overlooking his project. In the afternoon I make enchiladas, again, happily so, to deliver to friends. Who needed and wanted and enjoyed them. Frank and I made a quick dinner and our son and daughter joined. Sunday night dinner. And a fire and candles. The evenings grow dark early and earlier. I thought about Thanksgiving today, a Novembery mood. Today is today and it’s October. And the river is reflecting all the bright color.
