#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
My morning to get Wave out the door for school. It’s so familiar. This sometimes stressful process with five-year-olds. He ate his eggs in the car because, well, that’s the best we could do. Quite cold. I drive him to school and he gets there on time. Yah Grammy. I go for a walk at the track where a cold wind blows but I enjoy my workout. Then quickly home for an in-person client. Then hopping into the car and driving to see my aunt and take her for a much needed new phone. I know we will encounter issues, and we do. But wow. Just wow. The young man who waits on us, Ethan, is the kindest and most helpful young man. Honestly, I was at AT&T for three hours in this process, but then another man joined us and boy did they go beyond with their attentiveness to my aunt and me. I ran my aunt home and came back to finish things off. Well, it’s not entirely solved. But she does have a new phone. And she was hugely grateful, of course, and I was so happy to help with this challenging task. And there was so much kindness we received in this process. So, happiness. Everybody has a grandmother they love and hope will be well cared for by others. Home well after dark, but an easy trip. I downloaded on Audible Moby Dick and dug into this great novel that I have somehow neglected to read. Home to Perri and Wave who are happy to see me. And me, happy to be home.
