Cold Moon Supermoon

. . . Everyone needs a place. It shouldn’t be inside of someone else.
I kept my mind on the moon. Cold moon, long nights moon. . .

~ Richard Siken, “Detail of the Woods”

I was fortunate to be out tonight, driving, to witness this Cold Supermoon, driving over the Bourne Bridge. I was driving to the Cape at dusk to visit my sister for dinner. How lucky I am to have a sister AND a Cold Moon. And we had a lovely dinner in a local diner that grew gradually so noisy we were yelling at each other to continue our conversation. I suggested we sit in her car, under the moon, to finish our visit. So cold out there. And driving home the wind buffeted my car on the highway. Such a Decembery night. When I reached home and went in I realize no one was home and the wind had blown the dining room doors open! Well, we won’t be playing pickle outdoors any time soon. I slept in a bit today. Easy to do so on a wintry morning. I walked at the track, six miles. I just wanted a good, fast walk and that’s what I felt like doing. Then an in person client. One more client and then off to the Cape. House too quiet without Wave. I got a lot of things done today. And I am sleepy tonight. We have a plan to bring the Christmas tree home with Wave this weekend. Let the festivities begin under a waning moon.
