The sunrise is pink. I am awake early. I look again at one of the poems I’m working on, make a few changes. I think I’m near the point of doing too much. I move on. Today I had a great swim before my group. It’s slippery now on the steps and driveway. Will it warm? An arctic something is coming in. Craft group goes well, and then I go to Israeli group. Then Frank and I get a phone call from our neighbor, a happy call. Because a judge agrees with her, she is being harassed and it has to stop. This lifts my spirits so much. She has stood up to a bully. Courage inspires courage. I’m so proud of her and the example she has set for her young children. And I’m happy that we have had the opportunity to support her. The house is quiet in the afternoon, Wave not home. I run my Play Lab which goes really well. Then Frank and I bring chili and cornbread that I baked just before Play Lab over to friends, some TLC. We have a visit, I give my friend a shoulder rub. Small kindnesses make a difference in this challenging world. Home to dinner, me, Frank, my daughter, the fire and candles and some laughs and closeness at the end of the day.
