#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
April’s soft, bright colors––mood enhancers. I went out to the river after Wave went off to school. After his breakfast. I rose at 6:00 a.m. to have a last look or two at my poem before sending it off. Last night, so tired. A poetry-immersed weekend. And all evening attending a poetry workshop online with Jane Hirshfield, also while editing my poem for this morning, after finishing a draft of a new one for tomorrow. I was quite tired. But I did take an hour yesterday for pickle with Frank, Franci & Will. So fun. Frank cooked dinner last night and our son joined us, just the three of us. I’m not getting enough sleep. I’ll do better tonight. My legs so sore from a couple of hours yesterday picking up winter’s sticks and building brush piles. Today, a nice swim. With sore legs. This afternoon I picked up Wave. We played with his water super shooters in the yard. Sunshine. Play. I made fresh vegetables and pizza. More poetry tonight, and tomorrow morning. The manuscript progresses. I’m glad for that. Frank gone out of town. Sunny weather in store here for this week. To bed. With so much appreciation for April. For the river & the trees and my daily heron sightings of morning.
