May Day on the Charles

Beautiful rest. Wake up, it’s May! Sunshine too. Everything lively happening outdoors. I walked but didn’t get far. Picked up sticks for brush pile. Neatening up. Then I swam. Bright light coming in. I had a client and worked on a radical revision of an old poem for the new manuscript. Lost track of time. Afternoon visit with my dear friend. Then Frank home. I made an easy dinner so I could get back to my poem while Frank played tennis. Finished a draft. In the bank for Monday. I don’t know exactly how I feel about this revision. I think it’s a good revision. Whether the poem will make it into the manuscript, we will see. What I am satisfied with is how I am keeping on, generating, revising. Getting the writing done. My aunt is in the hospital with pneumonia. She is always so cheerful. In the morning I will see if she wants me to come.
