#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A storm is coming. A Nor Easter. High winds, torrential rain. Sounds fierce. Thursday, maybe sooner. Today I took Wave to swim at Kingsbury after school because he wanted very much to swim in the pool without the bubble, open to the sky. It was only 57 degrees out. I couldn’t say no. I brought his really warm and fuzzy bathrobe, knowing ihery comfortably warm if you kept your full body under water. We swam and played and swam and played and had a lot of fun. His mother joined us at the end to see his tricks. She was impressed. Wave requested casual dinner. That means we don’t have to sit at the table. I said yes. All day he was so happy. Tonight he came in while I was running my Tuesday night writers on Zoom. Asked if we could play fighting dinosaurs. Which I did, while my writers were writing from the prompt! Ha! Thank you Zoom. I cleared brush before poetry workshop; listened to more Li-Young Lee poetry on podcast while I worked. These brush piles are massive and many and I am loving this work. I am trying to see through the trees, and through poetry, clearly. It was an excellent writing group experience tonight. I love seeing lights go on for writers. My own workshop was also rewarding. My lights going on. Feeling inspired. Three images accepted for a journal today––bird themed.
