Full bright sun, wonderful to wake to, and the air warm. I got right to tweaking my two poems to send off to our manuscript workshop. Then, some time with Wave, helping him get out the door, and my own swim. The water was warm and the sun on my back the whole time. I did a little brush clearing before workshop. This manuscript workshop is really helpful, rewarding. So grateful to be working on my poems in this group. A wonderful part of the afternoon was picking up Wave. We were both so excited to have a really warm sunny day at Kingsbury. And we stayed and stayed. They opened the water park part where kids can get sprayed from a variety of water features and Wave had a blast. He talks and plays with everyone. No inhibitions. I swam with him for the first hour and then watched him play for the second hour. Spent a little time tonight on Ancestry.com and found several additional children belonging to my great great grandmother Christina from New Brunswick that had never been uncovered by the ancestry work my aunt and uncle had done that I am so gratefully using. It’s like detective work, this genealogy searching. Fun and frustrating and mystifying and satisfying.
