#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Red Wing Blackbird in the Marsh
I slipped out before anyone knew I was gone after sending off my poem. I wanted to get my swim in at Kingsbury. There was sunshine. What a relief of sunshine. I turned my face into the sun to breathe doing my laps and felt, thank you. When I got home, someone was waiting for me, Frank said. Indeed. In the bed I had made before leaving. He had climbed in. Wondering where I was and ready for a pancake. Which I promptly served. Tomorrow, back to school after the holiday break and a couple of extra days off last week. I had poetry workshop and it was helpful for my poem. I revised a different poem in the afternoon before taking a break and walking to Farm Pond. My daughter and Wave were meeting my nephew and his baby there and I couldn’t miss that. I walked to the pond. It was cool. I didn’t go in, but Wave did a bit. I helped him build a sand jacuzzi. All kids for dinner tonight. Frank made king crab which thrilled everyone, particularly Wave. Tonight, my poetry workshop for Monday night and now I am quite quite sleepy and grateful. The peeper is making its noise from the frog pond under the window. I love this red wing blackbird I photographed in the marsh while walking to Farm Pond on this sunny afternoon.
