Wow, it’s hot! A very warm morning, and an early one. The tree guys arrived before 7:00 a.m. to start their work and I was the one here to meet them. Nice guys. So, I got to work early while they got to work early and I kept clearing the area by the river to be out of their way. A noisy project, and exciting to hear all the brush I’ve cleared go into the chipper all day long. Tomorrow they continue. Quiet house indoors, for sure. I miss Wave and get him back tomorrow after school. I had a busy day, but a couple of cancellations were good, actually, as I had a lot of catching up to do. My magnolia shrub is blooming beautifully. It kept getting hotter and hotter and I didn’t want to put the air conditioning on because I love the fresh air. But there was no fresh air. I went for an afternoon swim to cool off, then used by outdoor shower which is fixed and open for the season! Twice I used it, actually. Then, had my Journal of Expressive Writing Open Mic and put the air on in the downstairs so that I could have the energy to run my group. Featured my friend Maureen Murdock talking about myth and memoir and she was terrific. Now I have my windows open and fan on and it’s starting to cool off a little bit. I need my rest for the tree guys will arrive early tomorrow!
