I love being here. The warmth of reconnecting to friends and meeting new ones. There’s a wonderful intimacy to this retreat that’s instead of our annual IWWG Summer Conference. I woke early, worked on my two poems for workshop, sent them off and then to my walk. Another bright day on the rail trail outside my door. Six miles today in sunshine and wildflowers. Talked to a dear friend from home and also to Frank. Home to workshop. These poems are taking a long time to come together. But I’m not giving up. Got helpful feedback. Then I prepped to teach my afternoon workshop here at the retreat. Which went really well. Then met on Zoom with a client and they gave us dinner at the retreat center and I was happy to have time with my friend Maureen, all to myself. Very very tired tonight. Day well spent and busy end to end. My happy place.
