Moon through pines

Frank says he wants the summer to last and last too. I’m so glad he’s enjoying it as much as I am. This morning I don’t go for my swim or my walk. I got involved somehow before 8 a.m. with Wave’s toys and play areas. Oh, I know why. We went into his playroom in the basement and Frank had put the new shelves up and so I started organizing toys while he played and spent the next couple of hours running up and down the stairs to his playroom in the den, back downstairs, picking up, organizing, shifting, sifting. . . it was a major clean up. And good exercise. Then I went and did weeding and yard work and watering. It was so sunny and nice Frank ended up saying yes, he’d go to Farm Pond with me in the afternoon and without any one to look after we went to the beach and he napped in the shade and I napped in the sun. Because we could. Just because we could. And dipped in the cool water, but I didn’t even swim. Just needed a nice Sunday nap. I have my poem for tomorrow in good shape and I had no time to write today. We had dinner outdoors with friends, a sweet summer evening as the moon rose behind the trees.
