#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

In just a few weeks I will need to bring the geraniums from all around the yard inside where they will stay in bloom for the winter in sunny windows. This morning, all the plants get watered. Up at 6:00, Frank has left, and I hit the ground running. I am back to my fall schedule. Summer was happy and fun, and being back today was very satisfying. Two groups, a poetry meeting, two clients, lots of admin. Full, busy and fast. Cool morning, hot day. I went for a long walk through the woods in the morning. It was very cool and I didn’t feel like going to the pond. Wave was home all day. His school starts tomorrow. The mischief boy picked the lock on my office door! He actually was very happy to be home today. Seeing his toys all organized. Putting them away. A good transition day for him. The river is low. Frank went out on the river with Franci and Will on Sunday and broke the propeller on a rock. They had to paddle back. I was at the airport asking Wave if he wanted to go to the river when we got home, and how we had to be careful of rocks because in late summer the water is low, when Frank called and told me the story of breaking the propeller on a rock. Little mishaps. The windows wide open tonight to the crickets. I am still remembering the view over San Francisco Bay, the light, the openness and activity.
