All day the French doors where I sit at my computer are thrown open and it’s dark now and still so pleasantly inviting outdoors. A night for sleeping with the outdoors singing in from the yard. Wave climbed the spiral staircase to my room, first thing, this morning. I helped him dress and get ready for school and made his cheerful egg and saw them off. I didn’t go to the bus stop with them as I really needed the time to prepare for three groups today. So I got that done and managed a shorter walk than usual, a four-miler, and it was quite pleasant in the woods with the colorful leaves. I enjoyed each of my groups, oh! and a Women Writers Collective meeting in there as well, where we met with the woman who is doing our branding, and she brought a presentation that really excited us. She’s so talented and is giving us an amazing deal. There were two designed we all loved out of four, and all four were smart and creative and imaginative. It’s exciting to feel this organization really being born. After groups today, pickle. Franci and Will. We played under the light and the evening was exquisite. They killed us tonight. We won one of four games. I don’t know what was up with me and Frank, but it was fun anyway. And then we had takeout and got to hear about Will’s new job which was very exciting. No Wave tonight. I miss him. I’ll see him tomorrow.
