#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Farm Pond View in Autumn
Pouring rain for Wave’s birthday morning. He wants eggs and his mother lets him skip the bus and they go in together as she’s invited to read for the class to celebrate his special day. He’s six years old today! I’ll miss him this weekend, but my own grown son who moved to Lebanon is here, home for the night. Frank and I took Landon and Perri out to a sweet dinner on this rainy day and night. Lots of laughs and catching up. And now he’s getting to meet Perri’s two cats. I went for a seven mile walk in the rain. I’m trying new routes every day, and also going to the pond to be near the water. I got caught up at my desk. I opened the hostess present, finally! that I was given by the organizers of the reunion: A beautiful hand-crafted glass bowl and I got my thank yous out. I worked on Monday’s workshop poem in time to meet with my poetry friend to share poems in the late afternoon. It’s always a pleasure and very encouraging to share one-on-one. It was Covid when the boy was born. Those strange times. And Suzi and Charlie welcomed him home.
