#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Morning Trestle
My son, waiting for our early walk, actually had to wake me at 8:30. Whoosh, I was deeply asleep. So, I rushed to get ready. We went out into the cool autumn morning and had long talks through the brilliantly lit woods. Such a calm river. Strange to have him around—first time since he moved away. And nice. He is encouraging me to do some strength training and and showed me some squats and Turkish get ups. Yikes! I’m ordering the kettle bells he recommended. Sweet! Frank and Land off to breakfast after our walk and I got some things done, but no writing. I couldn’t get into the right space for some reason. In the late afternoon I went for another walk, a longer one, at my own good pace and ended up with eight miles today. I’m so enjoying the brisk fresh air. Tonight I realized it was absolutely necessary to bring my potted geraniums in for the winter! I don’t know why I was thinking I time left. It will go down to 30 tonight. So I went out into the yard in complete darkness and got them all inside so I can have them, hopefully, in front of sunny windows in bloom all winter. I think the warm days of summer may finally be over. I might get one more outdoor swim in. Or two. Franci and I always take a dip in Farm Pond on election day. Which can’t come soon enough!
