#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
So many pleasant experiences today. Morning quite cold. I was glad I brought the geraniums in! The basil plant I left out by mistake is dead. Frank helped me move the sun room big plants in and I was kind of sad about that because the sun room has been so sunny and green and inviting. I woke at 6 so I’d have time to have coffee before walking to the elementary school where I volunteered with the Pine Hill 5K run, for the short one with just the kids. This had been rescheduled from the stormy weekend last month, so Wave isn’t here and couldn’t come with me. But I had fun. Such a frosty morning. It’s about 7 miles there and back on the route I took. Met a lot of deer romping about. The kids race was over quick so it didn’t take much time. This afternoon I met a poet friend from the West Coast who was in town on a research trip and she wanted to see Orchard House, in Concord, Louisa May Alcott’s home, so we met there and took the tour and took a bit of a walk after and chatted and I was very glad to have the time with her and talk writing. Then I made a stop at a favorite market and bought some treats for a friend in town who has experienced a loss and I wanted to stop by and pay my condolences. So, it was a rich day and I eeked out a revision and some notes for a new poem tonight. Not happy with my revision. I might scrap this. I may get up early to work on something. I’m resisting turning the heat on in the house. Might have to very soon. Wave home tomorrow after school and I get to meet his bus.
