#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

That moon has been so bright, beaming into the high, wide window on our bedroom wall. I didn’t sleep deeply or well, but there’s no need to be mad at the moon. And I got up with Wave and made his eggs and he went happily off to school. His mother and I walk-ran him to the bus stop. We won’t see him again until Monday. A warm lovely day with the sun over the river and the golden trees. All my tick panel is negative but my doc wants me to take the antibiotic anyway so I ride my bike to the pharmacy in lovely sunshine to pick it up. Then I ride to Farm Pond from Medfield to Sherborn and go to the boat ramp to take a dip. I have worn my suit. No one is around and the water is very calm. Even the geese are gone. The water was very chilly! But this is such a gorgeous time of year to swim as the leaves change color and reflect off the water. I only swam for about fifteen minutes and it was quite refreshing! Then the short bike ride home. So fun. I went to a poetry workshop with Ellen Bass for two hours midday and then shared a poem with a friend and got good feedback. Pickle tonight with my nephew and his fiance and it was fun. Early dark, under cloud cover. Felt muggy and sticky and also Halloweenish—the dark woods and the musty air. We tied two games each and then had a delicious dinner Frank and I had prepped. Long fun conversation at dinner about weddings, their upcoming one. Sweet evening. Doors open. A breeze in through the windows.
