#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Tonight I had the fire for Wave and Perri after he was home from school. In the sun today it was quite warm, though, on my November walk. I went wholly through woods on trails that are familiar but in a new combination. I had my poem revised a little and sent off before I walked. Cloudlessness for days. Tomorrow is election day—finally! Hooray! I hope to take my Farm Pond dip after voting with my daughter, or daughters, of we can all go together, depending on schedules. I enjoyed poetry workshop, just hearing everyone’s poems and talking poetry. Then, I got through so much administrative work all afternoon I barely stepped away from my computer. Until I heard Wave in the late afternoon, drawn home by his mother at dusk from Gabe’s house, the misery of parting, and I went down to assist with dinner. 5:00! Getting dark! The hunger! November, and I love the early morning light and miss the late afternoon light. Oh dear. We enter the darkest days. I will make a point of rising early to have the light, all of it that’s available. I am sharpening my pencil to poke the holes in great enthusiasm for the ballot tomorrow!
