#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Beach walk after windstorm
All day the sword of Damocles––it’s wonderful to be in our large group of three families. Except when there’s a bug going around. We have two down in our family, there’s more down all around. Stomach bug. When and if will it be my turn, Frank and I wonder. But enjoy our time anyway. I woke myself at 5 to revise my poem, determined to find a way. And I did. I had it ready for workshop by 9:00 and it was a strong poem, finally. Also had to be online from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 getting Martha’s Vineyard ferry reservations for the wedding. The reservations open in a lottery online. I had about a 90-minute wait. Not bad, and success. Got all the ones I needed for my family on the dates we need them. Frank and I went out midday on the quad to the beach. Napped in the sand and shade. Then I walked back to our casa, six miles in the sun by the surf. Stopped for a couple of dips. So, the casa is kind of like an infirmary today. Everyone healthy helping the sick. Our friend G. is a standout. Lots of healing from his hands. My brother’s family leaves tomorrow, and that’s kind of sad. I’m in bed early as I really think it’s my turn coming on. The sword is falling. Let’s see how it all turns out by morning. I’m grateful for another day in paradise and hope my Franci and Will are better tomorrow and that Frank is spared, especially because he is such a good helper!
