#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

I woke at 4:00 a.m. for Chip who was whining softly from his crate. A decent night. I didn’t mind getting up and taking him out. Damp and cool. He did well to sleep undisturbed for so long. Progress. I didn’t go back to sleep, but worked on a poem that I thought was done. I do think I improved it. New title and some other changes. I walked Chip around the yard a lot today, and also out to the river. I picked up a lot of downed branches. I have to begin to feel some order out there after a winter of tumultuous weather. So I have begun my piles again. I had only one client today. In the late afternoon I made dinner to take in to see friends in their new dwelling in Cambridge. Frank grilled the chicken between his appointments and I roasted the vegetables. My daughter took Chip and Frank and I had such a good time to be together and catch up after our separate trips last week and the coming of the puppy. So sweet, after dinner, to drive home from Cambridge and go to my daughter’s house to pick Chip up. Reminding me of such old times, picking kids up from a babysitter or friend’s house. My daughter received her license as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts today. Now I have two children who have their mental health licenses doing good helping work in the world. She plans to train Chip as a therapy dog. Hooray!
