#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Passion Flower and candle
More of summer and early to the river, sun coming up behind the trees and Chippie tromping through the mud. My daughter out early, I give Wave breakfast and prepare for my writing group that’s coming. I’m in the group room for a couple of minutes and he calls my name from the living room twice and decides I have disappeared. In his bare feet he goes outside. I come back to the living room and he’s not where I left him. How could he just disappear so fast? I call his name, search the house. He’s not in the house. Not in the yard. I know where he is. He has gone down the shared driveway to our neighbor’s house. I know it. I call our neighbor; she’s not home, but her camera is on the door and yes, Wave is there. She talks to him while I rush over. I know his mother will talk this through with him later. For now, we return and I play transformers with him until it’s time to take him to school. We can’t find his shoes. The new shoes, his fast shoes that Papa bought him this weekend. We cannot find any other fast shoes. I figure out his fast shoes must be in his mother’s car after I search the house for them. He insists on wearing his new soccer cleats and I let him. Not good shoes for school, but this has been a challenging morning and my day has not really begun! Frank comes home tonight and I’m happy to see him and also happy to have another helper in the house. My two groups today go really well. Chippie gets another walk to the river in the late afternoon. I go to a poetry reading online tonight and play around with a collage while I’m listening. I am covering both Chippie and Wave again tomorrow morning, so I better get some rest.
