Up at 5 to spend a little time with Chippie before leaving for Martha’s Vineyard day trip for wedding appointments. The river was warm and mild and misty. The beavers up and about. I didn’t go to where they’ve been working. Didn’t want to disrupt them. It was bright and sunny, but also windy and cool when we got off the ferry in Vineyard Haven. Franci will get a run-through of her hairstyle for the wedding, and we will both have a run-through of our make-up. This isn’t my favorite thing, but it’s fun doing it with Franci at the salon. She looks terrific. We also go to Flat Point Farm, her wedding venue, to meet the tent man and the caterer. Franci is so organized, so clear. it’s nice to have the time away, just me, Frank and Franci. Chippie stays home with Perri—the trainer is coming to give him a lesson. Yay! Home for a walk to the river before sunset with Franci and Chippie to see what the beaver have been up to. Major cutting - through the limb, and carried it off.
